Tuesday, February 28, 2012 Taco Dinner Benefit with a basket raffle and 50/50 cash raffle will be held for Chris Barber who was recently diagnosed with Stage IV Renal (kidney) cell carcinoma which has metastasized to the renal vein and lung. Chris is currently being treated at Iowa City Universit...y and will be having surgery on January 25, 2012 to remove the kidney.
Chris was born in Moline, IL and graduated from Moline High School. He has been the CDS lead at Iowa Health Systems since 2005. Chris is married to Trudy and they have 3 children, Mike, Daniel and Crystal and one granddaughter, Alyssa. Chris is trying to continue to work so he can keep his insurance, however, the medical costs as well as travel costs are/will be tremendous.
